robotic age

   After a long waiting time here we are at Graz at the international robotic competition and show the Robocup 2009 helded this year in Graz, Austria. (official Robocup2009 Graz website)

   Teams anf fans from all over the world made Graz the capital of robotics this year.

   During this 7 days of competitions, shows, debates and symposiums we will keep you informed with new pictures and movies from the event.

    Finaly I met Bastien from Aldebaran Robotics after more than a year chating only through forum.

   Other members of the  AR team joined shortly and I met them to.

   After few minutes I went inside the area ... where it's ALL happening! If you didn't have the opportunity to see something like this check the next events location and make time to see it! First of all there are NAO everywhere (I'm addicted to NAO so escuze me for beeing subjective).

   The other robot categories are also in this second hall (In the first one it's the Rescue Real Robot, the Simulation Rescue, RobocupJunior, Dance, ...) like the midle size humanoidrobots ... and we see some prettytired robots exhauted after so many matches (like these NIMBRO guys):

   NAO is the robot chosen by the RoboCup commite to be from 2008 the Standard Platform robot rather than Aibo wich it's discontinued for many years now. NAO it's the humanoid robot produced by Aldebaran Robotics (the french company).

   How can a visit in a robotic show could not reveal you, some of the best robots (maybe not quite as the deffinition says)? The Seegway!
